Path of Exile: Atlas of Worlds

Atlas of Worlds is the fifth expansion for Path of Exile, released on September 2, 2016. It rebuilt the game's endgame around the titular Atlas of Worlds — an interconnected chart of maps that players progressively explore, shape and upgrade, culminating in new endgame bosses topped by the Shaper. The expansion added 30 new maps, new items, an epilogue storyline and new ways to modify maps (Shaper's Orbs, sextants), and launched alongside the three-month Essence challenge league, whose monster-trapping essences doubled as a new crafting system.
