No development budget has ever been disclosed for any Madden game, and no unit-sales figure exists for this one. EA does not break out per-title revenue; in its Q2 FY26 results, covering the launch quarter, it said only that 'Madden NFL 26 delivered net bookings growth year-over-year in the quarter, with players returning to the title' — a qualitative statement with no dollar or unit number attached. What can be measured is chart position: Circana ranked it the second best-selling game in the United States by dollar sales in August 2025, behind NBA 2K26, and tenth on the 2025 year-to-date US chart; the separately-listed EA Sports MVP Bundle charted eighth for the month. Note that Circana reports dollar-sales rank, not units. Franchise context is far better documented than this individual entry: the Madden series had sold over 150 million copies worldwide as of 2021 and had passed $4 billion in cumulative sales by 2013. The commercial foundation under all of it is the exclusive NFL licence EA has held since 2004, extended in 2020 through 2026 for a reported $1.5 billion, which means no rival studio can make a licensed NFL game. Pricing at launch: $69.99 standard, $99.99 Deluxe, $149.99 for the MVP Bundle pairing it with EA Sports College Football 26. Time-to-beat figures are rounded approximations of a milestone rather than an ending — HowLongToBeat reports 12.5 and 53.5 hours, and Franchise, Superstar and Ultimate Team are all designed to be played indefinitely. Age ratings, for reference, are ESRB E (Mild Lyrics) and PEGI 3.
