Set in a mysterious world, Little Nightmares follows the journey of Six, a hungry little girl who must escape the Maw, an iron vessel inhabited by monstrous, twisted beings.
BUDGET: never disclosed - documented-empty after checking Wikipedia, GamesIndustry.biz, Bandai Namco press material and Tarsier interviews. What IS documented is the funding structure: Tarsier self-funded prototypes through work-for-hire, pitched the game to Sony (its exclusivity partner since 2010) as "Hunger" and was TURNED DOWN, after which Bandai Namco financed it under a worldwide publishing agreement announced in August 2016 with plans for multiple titles. No figure was attached to that deal. REVENUE: unit sales are publisher-official. This game specifically passed 1 million in August 2018 and 2 million in May 2020. The 20 million milestone announced around 25 June 2025 is FRANCHISE-WIDE and must not be attributed to this title alone. Estimated gross ~$40M (2M units x $19.99 Steam/console launch list price); excludes discounts, refunds, regional pricing, bundle and subscription allocation and the ~30% platform cut, and is not official. Note the game has been discounted as low as $4.99, so realised revenue per unit is materially below list.
