Eidos never disclosed a development budget. The million-unit figure was reported in January 2008 and no later total has been published. Estimated gross ~$40M against that figure (1M units x ~$40 blended price; the 2007 console MSRP was $59.99 and the game was heavily discounted soon after); excludes discounts, refunds, regional pricing and the ~30% platform cut — not an official figure. The game has been delisted from Steam since February 2021, when Square Enix removed it "to work on some important updates"; it remains buyable DRM-free on GOG.
