Artwork 7Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your creepy neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in his basement. You play against an AI that adapts from your actions. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? Your neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.
No development budget was ever disclosed for the 2017 game. Later franchise figures exist but are not development costs: tinyBuild acquired the Hello Neighbor IP and the Dynamic Pixels team for $5.6M in 2019 and announced a $15M investment in the franchise. Milestones: 30 million players by March 2020, 60M+ downloads by December 2020, book series over 1.6 million copies (2020) and later over 5 million. NO estimated gross is given here on purpose — the download figure counts free mobile/console installs, subscription access and deeply discounted sale units, so multiplying it by the $29.99 launch price would badly overstate revenue. tinyBuild listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 2021 at a $474M valuation.
